That’s me trying to flex my very elementary French. 🤠

My name is Paola, but you can call me Pao.

It’s what everyone calls me back home in Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷

There, on that tropical island, is where I started writing as a way to deal with puberty. You know how that goes, wild emotions, crazy hormones, and awkward body changes. Thankfully, writing helped me figure myself out and connect with my own—and other people's—emotions. It wasn’t until later on that I realized you can do that for a living. Like, what?! I know, my grandmother still doesn’t believe it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ That’s when I decided to pursue copywriting.

After that, I graduated from the Savannah College of Art & Design with a degree in Advertising and Branding, with a concentration in Copywriting. 🎓 I moved to Miami, where I accepted a role as a Copywriter at VMLY&R before working at República Havas. 🐓 I also kicked off my personal project, Markas—a branding company providing services to professionals and small businesses. ❇️
